Andesite is an intermediate volcanic rock, often with a porphyritic texture, between basalt and rhyolite in composition.

Also known in Türkiye as Ankara stone, andesite is used in building and landscaping applications.

It occurs in grey and pinkish shades and can display varying textures and weathering characteristics.
